Use safety goggles and rubber gloves to protect your eyes and hands. Mix 1/2 cup of bleach in 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket. Wipe the moss carpet outdoors with brush and bleach solution. Be careful not to splash the solution. Let the bleach set for five to ten minutes to kill the moss. Rinse the outdoor carpet thoroughly with a garden hose.
